Perjalananku Mencintai Mehndi/Henna

Sudah lama saya menyukai desain2 mehndi, tapi gak sempet untuk belajar, cari bahan-bahannya juga bingung kemana, belajar nya dimana juga gak tau. baru tau kalo namanya Mehndi/Henna/Inai juga agak telat. Gara-gara ngobrol sama sodara yang kebetulan dia ada hubungan asmara dengan orang india :p, jadi dia tau banyak apa aja tentang mehndi

hingga akhirnya Allah mengijinkan saya menginjakkan kaki ke india..trus karena di india kalo pas lagi gak momong anak, agak jenuh juga. ternyata Allah menggerakkan hati saya untuk belajar mehndi. saya memburu sebanyak-banyak nya info tentang mehndi.

begitu banyak salon yang menyediakan servis mehndi untuk pernikahan, pesta, dan berbagai festival. kemudian saya beranikan diri untuk datang ke salon-salon tersebut untuk minta diajarin alias kursus..hmm tapi seperti yang sudah saya duga mereka gak mau ngajarin.


selang beberapa waktu, secara tidak sengaja, saya menemukan cone untuk mehndi yang dijual di suatu swalayan. saya belanja hanya 1 bulan sekali jadi emang jarang sekali melihatnya ada di rak tersebut. coba-coba saya beli, masih ragu juga kok namanya "Rangoli cone", padahal rangoli itu gambar-gambar yang biasa dibuat orang hidu di lantai

sebelum saya mencoba cone tersebut, saya agak ragu karena saya gak punya bakat gambar sama sekali..pertama-tama saya coba di buku bekas suami saya..xixixi..hasilnya sudah jelas gak bagus, sesuai perkiraan. dan sampe beberapa lama hasilnya tetp gak bisa bagus..arrgghh..

cone tetap menganggur, karena saya gak pede mau pake, kan kalo kena tangan langsung merah..tapi suami terus aja support. trus sedikit demi sedikit saya mulai coba dan hasilnya sangat2 buruk..pake cone nya juga susah..hadeeeww..sebel dan bete..heheh

tiap bulan saya cuma butuh 1 cone untuk latihan, dan kalo nyimpennya rapat kondisi henna masih bagus. hampir 1/2 tahun hasilnya masih kurang bagus. sempat beberapa lama saya beralih konsen ke hal lain. karena gak bisa2, istilah jawa nya saya "mutung".hehehe..dan meski tiap bulan saya tetep beli cone, tapi kadang cuma kepake separo, separonya dibuat mainan anak :D

suatu saat saya kangen lagi dan belajar lagi. kali ini semangat saya bertambah. hampir tiap hari saya latian dan sedikit membuahkan hasil.alhamdulillah.

karena tetangga saya beberapa kali liat tangan saya belepotan henna, dia minta untuk digambarin henna tangannya..tapi saya nya gak pede jadi gak berani main ke rumahnya.hehehe..pada suatu festival, saya kepergok dia pake henna di tangan. dia memaksa untuk minta digambar. mau gak mau deh..

wuii..malu banget karena hasilnya gak sesuai..wkwkwkkw...padahal dah dicoba beberapa kali lumayan hasilnya. giliran dicoba di tangan orang lain, gak bagus. karena waktu gambarnya pake teknik gemetaran..jadi gak rapih..tapi dia nya mengerti banget kalo aku lagi belajar, jadi ya fine fine aja..xixiixi..

dan sekarang..meski belum bisa desain sendiri, minimal kalo nggambar dah mirip sama yang dicontek..hehehe

Membuat Henna menjadi lebih gelap dan tahan lama

Mengaplikasikan henna yang sama dan bahan yang sama, terkadang bisa juga berbeda hasilnya antara satu dengan yang lainnya. ada beberapa hal yang mempengaruhi, yaitu :

1. panas tubuh seseorang.
   
2. jenis kulit
3. musim. musim dingin akan mempengaruhi desain lebih cepat memudar daripada musim panas
4. waktu pemasangan. semakin lama henna menempel di kulit maka semakin gelap warna yang akan dihasilkan

Ada beberapa tips yang bisa dijadikan pegangan untuk membuat desain henna menjadi lebih gelap dan tahan lama.

1. campurkan lemon juice (jeruk nipis) saat membuat adonan henna, air teh hitam*, essensial oil**.
   
2. diamkan selama mungkin (semalaman) henna yang sudah di aplikasikan ke tangan/kaki. sebaiknya tutup tangan/kaki yang sudah diberi henna dengan menggunakan plastik/tissue kamar mandi. Pendiaman cukup dilakukan 6-7 jam.
   
3. setelah henna selesai diaplikasikan, berikan campuran larutan lemon juice dan gula pada tangan dengan menggunakan cotton bud/ semprotan
4. Kebiasaan orang india, memanggang cengkeh dalam wadah besi, kemudian dekatkan desain henna pada asap cengkeh
5. Menjaga agar desain dalam keadaan hangat.
6. jangan menghapus henna yang menempel dengan air, tapi gunakan seperti tusuk gigi yang tumpul/alat lain yang semacamnya.
7. Menggosok area yang terdapat henna nya akan mempercepat hilangnya henna yang menempel. 
8. Hindari penggunaan sabun sesaat setelah henna dilepas
9. Setelah dilepas, oleskan minyak pada area yang diberi henna. minyak sayur/essense oil/zaitun. Ini fungsinya untuk menghindari desain terkena air langsung. tapi lebih baik pilih zaitun/essense oil karena tidak terlalu lengket
   

* Penggunaan air teh bisa dilakukan dengan memasak air teh kental sampai berwarna hitam dan mendiamkannya semalaman lalu campurkan esoknya dengan henna bubuk.
